The de Grummond Children's Literature Collection was founded in 1966 by Lena Y. de Grummond. The collection holds the original manuscripts and illustrations of more than 1300 authors and illustrators of works for children, as well as 160,000+ published books dating from 1530 to the present, including original text and artwork by John Green (The Fault in Our Stars), Ezra Jack Keats (The Snowy Day), and H. A. Rey and Margret Rey (Curious George). Part of Special Collections, the de Grummond Collection is housed in the McCain Library and Archives on the campus of The University of Southern Mississippi.
