Landlubbers beware! The undead pirates of the Black Pearl have landed in the alley of the Hattiesburg Pocket Museum.

When “home” is a ship on the Seven Seas,

There is not much room for me or thee.

A pirate is careful what goods he keeps, or he won’t have room to drink or sleep.

He holds onto his bottles of rum, and keeps them under his bed, ‘cause he ain’t dumb

If he loses his hand, in a jar it must go.

He may need it again. You never will know!

Throughout the month of October, the alley will be full of undead pirates, who are causing all levels of mischief. Climbing ladders, scaling walls or just hanging out, the pirates are up to no good! They have even shared their goods with resident balloon dog, Oscar, and brought along some undead creatures who were stowaways on the Black Pearl.

On October 15 th from 7 – 8:30 p.m. the undead pirates will be joined by a band of marauding pirates who will be hurling insults, looting, pillaging and misbehaving so visitors to the Alley that night, BEWARE.

On October 22 nd from 10 – 12 noon downtown Hattiesburg will be “Quacken” with the 3 rd Annual Great Downtown Duck Hunt. One hundred and fifty “Ducks” will be hidden throughout downtown Hattiesburg, and each “Duck” can be redeemed for a variety of prizes. For more details on these special events, follow the Hattiesburg Pocket Museum on Facebook and Instagram.

The Hattiesburg Pocket Museum exhibit, movie and entire alley pay tribute to all things pirate during October.
