  • Evening: On your way back to the hotel, shimmy into T-bones Records and Café, a Hattiesburg original. Day Two

  • Morning: Hop on the Longleaf Trace, Mississippi’s premier running, biking, hiking, and equestrian trail. Veer off at the Hardy Street spur for a few surprises. It’ll be a sweet, sweet day when you start it off with Shipley’s donuts. Afterwards, walk or bike down the street to the Hattiesburg Zoo – Mississippi’s best and most affordable zoo with admission rates starting at $5.

    Lunch: Remember those fresh-picked goodies you found at the Farmer’s Market yesterday? How creative and delicious can you get with your finds? Bring your goods back to Town Square Park, where you’ll enjoy public art, views of Gordon Creek, and wide-open greenspace the whole crew can enjoy at no cost!

    Dinner: Just because it’s a brewhouse doesn’t mean all ages can’t enjoy a trip to Colludium Brewing Company. With an on-site food truck and specials like $1 hotdog night complete with all the fixins’, a trip to this local establishment will be fun and affordable!

    Evening: After dinner, linger at Colludium to discover more than 100 ways to have free fun! Bring on the competition with a whole wall of board and strategy games as you and the family battle it out!

Day Three

  • Morning: A good part of your day will be spent with Hattiesburg’s free and extensive public arts collection, so reserve plenty of time to explore! Local murals and sculptures are designed to enrich, beautify, and inspire. Grab a Public Art brochure and map your way through Hattiesburg’s neighborhoods and downtown district to discover the #MuralsofHBURG and more!

    Lunch: While exploring the art in Downtown Hattiesburg, pop into Southbound Bagel for a sandwich on daily scratch-made and affordable bagels and bread. Snag a fresh-from-the-oven cookie for the rest of your art journey!

    Afternoon: Mississippi’s tiniest museum packs a big punch of free fun! The new Hattiesburg Pocket Museum is nestled in a hidden downtown alley, and finding it is half the adventure. Once there, you’ll uncover a whimsical one-shelf outdoor museum of rotating themed exhibits surrounded by magical murals and art.

    Dinner: $2 Mexican tacos and BOGO margaritas sound like a fun and cost-conscious way to end your time in Hattiesburg. Stop by Compadres Taqueria for authentic bites that are sure to please the whole crew.
