VisitHATTIESBURG is hosting a variety of community events focusing on “Travel Matters" May 5-11 in celebration of National Travel and Tourism Week 2019. The events will highlight Hattiesburg’s tourism economy growth, while also recognizing individuals who exemplify excellent service in the hospitality industry.

This year’s national theme for the week serves to acknowledge why travel matters to communities. VisitHBURG’s goal is to give event attendees a glimpse of how travel and visitors positively impact Hattiesburg's economy as well as what factors matter and change the visitor's experience. 

HOTSPOTS TRIP ADVISOR & YELP CHALLENGE

Use our HOTSPOTS CHALLENGE to help you get to know Hattiesburg! VisitHATTIESBURG is giving away prizes to celebrate National Travel and Tourism Week. How do you enter? Do these three things:

1. #VisitHBURG - Visit some of the places listed in the guide if you haven’t already. If you have visited, go again or skip to step #2.
2. Leave a review! - Reviews on Trip Advisor or Yelp help visitors (and sometimes locals) find out where to stay, what to eat, and what to do.  Help us share Hattiesburg’s story by leaving reviews on places you visit.
3. Tell your friends! - Anyone can participate in this #NTTW19 challenge to be entered in the giveaway. Simply download the “guide” at VisitHBURG.org/visithburg-blogs and be sure to turn the checklist into us at the Visitors Center or via email at info@visithburg.org by Thursday, May 9 at 5PM. At the end of the week, the person who has left the most reviews will receive a weekend getaway trip to another Mississippi city valued at more than $350.
