It's Festival Season in HBURG

As the weather gets warmer and days get longer, spring fever is back in the Hub City! This is the time to get outdoors and HBURG has you covered with plenty of options during spring and summer festival season. Live music, great food, and even better weather - what more could you ask for?

 

Here’s our spring to-do list so you can stay in the loop with some rockin’ events happening over the next few months.

 

FEST WITH A BREW: Hattiesburg Craft Beer Festival
While you’re in town for FestivalSouth, don’t miss the Downtown Association’s premier event – the Hattiesburg Craft Beer Festival. Now in its 10th year, the Festival offers samplings of more than 100 craft brews from area breweries, like Hattiesburg Southern Prohibition, and from around the region. New this year are interactive elements, like demos from local artists and eateries! Guests can also enjoy home brews, live music, and food vendors throughout the park. The Hattiesburg Craft Beer Festival takes place March 9, 2024. A limited number of VIP tickets are available to purchase.

 

 

 

FEST IN THE STREETS: HubFest
HUBFEST is an annual art and music festival, boasting nationally recognized headliners on four live music stages and more than 250 vendors. This festival takes place in the streets and parks of downtown Hattiesburg every March. The 31st annual the HUBFEST is set for March 23, 2024.

 

FEST WEEKLY: Live at Five
Music invigorates and soothes the soul, and few things in life are as sweet as outdoor live music. Embrace the rhythm on Fridays in HBURG at its signature outdoor concert series - Live at Five. Held in Downtown from 5PM to 9PM every Friday, the free series features local and regional bands all spring (and fall). With a killer soundtrack and sweet Mississippi spring breeze setting the stage for a good-vibes-only night out, you’ll feel immersed in the eclectic, local flare of Downtown HBURG.

FEST WITH CRAWFISH: Downtown Crawfish Jam
This year's festival is back for its 25th year! Downtown Crawfish Jam. Enjoy all-you-can-eat crawfish, beer, and hamburgers, while listening to live music in Hattiesburg's historic neighborhood. This year's jam fest is set for April 20, 2024. 

FEST IN MIDTOWN: Midtown Sounds
This free, annual concert is held on The University of Southern Mississippi campus at the new Southern Station amphitheater. The community, students, and visitors are invited to campus to enjoy live music as the sun goes down. The 4th annual Midtown Sounds is May 11, 2025. 

FEST IN JUNE: FestivalSouth
Pack a month of art, music, films, and more into your schedule. FestivalSouth is the region’s only multi-week, multi-genre festival and offers both free and ticketed events to guests of all ages! Parents, your kids will enjoy Artie events throughout town. Music lovers, theatre enthusiasts, and everyone in between can find an event (or 5) at this 13-year Hattiesburg tradition! FestivalSouth takes place 5/28-6/22, 2024.

 

  

FEST PATRIOTICALLY: Star Spangled Celebration on the River
The Downtown Hattiesburg Association and the Petal Area Chamber of Commerce partner each year to offer a family-friendly Fourth of July experience outdoors, the Star Spangled Celebration on the River! The celebration will be family-friendly for residents and visitors of both Hattiesburg and Petal. Live music, activities, a kids zone, and a range of food vendors will be on both sides of the Leaf River. 

 

FEST ALL SUMMER: SummerTunes
Hattiesburgers love Live at Five so much we weren’t ready for it to end, so a few years ago the crew decided to extend this beloved event into Saturdays in the summer. Same music, same fun, same park… more afternoons jamming outdoors! Don’t forget your lounge chair or blanket. Coolers, pets, and kids welcome! SummerTunes 2024 will occur on Fridays in summer with official dates TBA.

 

 

FEST WITH A BREW AND BITE: Downtown Brews & Bites
Guests can enjoy live music along with great pairings of craft beer and specialty dishes presented by local food trucks during Downtown Brews & Bites. Located in Walthall Park in downtown Hattiesburg, this is a great event to kickoff the upcoming Fall festivities during the city's busiest time. Brews & Bites will take place in September with an official date TBA.
