HGTV's Home Town: Stops in HBURG

If you’re a fan of flipping houses, DIY projects, or have ever dreamed of living in a fixer-upper, you have probably watched an episode (or two) of HGTV’s Home Town.

Over the past five years, America has fallen in love with the charm of small-town Laurel as Ben and Erin Napier help residents and newcomers find their dream home. The love they have for Laurel is evident as they work to revitalize their hometown one house at a time.

What many might not know about the show is that quite a few Hattiesburg stops, including restaurants, shops and homes, appear on the show. The Hub City is only 30 miles away from Laurel and would be a great addition to your Home Town Mississippi tour.

Check out our list of places to visit in Hattiesburg that have appeared on Home Town!

The Lucky Rabbit

The Lucky Rabbit is only open on the weekends.

The Lucky Rabbit is open every weekend on Saturday and Sunday and features consigns from local artists, craft vendors, and others who specialize in refurbrishing furniture and odds and ends in a "Pinterest" style. It is a self-proclaimed junk shop that also features boutique clothing, accessories, a t-shirt shop, art, decor, and is full of nostalgia.

Season 3, Episode 5: Erin shops in the Hattiesburg junk shop.

The vintage store is famous for its owners Abby and Brandon Thaxton's talent to recreate popular tv show sets for ultimate photo op experiences. Photo ops are located inside The Lucky Rabbit and are always free to the public during regular business hours (Saturdays 9-6 and Sundays 11-5). In recent years, the store has had Stranger Things, The Office, Home Alone, Griswald Family Vacation, and Schitt's Creek photo sets.

Customers will be greeted by a couple of furry friends upon entering the store before shopping for all of their home and outdoor needs. Family-owned and managed for more than 75 years, the store is South Mississippi's premier local block, brick, and stone supplier.
