With 44 miles of trails, there is tons to explore to give your brain a breather. In addition to the main paved trail, there are loads of off-road trails and stops along the way that will make you forget you’re in one of Mississippi’s largest cities.

 

Whiskey on the River

Want to really unplug and get away from home for the weekend? Whiskey on the River, a completely off-grid retreat, is perfect for recharging your batteries. There are nine cabins available as well as private access to the Leaf River. Each cabin comes fully furnished with everything you need for a relaxing “beach-front” getaway. The cabins are completely solar powered and located in our neighboring city of Petal. 

 

 

 

 

Pinebelt Blueways

If you’re feeling more adventurous on your trip to HBurg, follow the Pinebelt Blueways for a meandering trip through the natural greenery of Mississippi. The Blueways are water trails that follow the Leaf and Bouie rivers and cover more than 50 miles of recreational waterways from Laurel through Hattiesburg to New Augusta. Either float the river at your own pace or book a free guided tour with all necessary equipment provided. PRO TIP: Don’t forget your sunscreen, bathing suit, and water shoes!
