When planning your holiday shopping, especially during the first weekends of November and December, be sure to visit the Hub City’s number one shopping attraction, The Lucky Rabbit, a one-of-a-kind junk shop for vintage, antique, and homemade items. Snag that stylish bracelet for your teenage niece when you stop by contemporary Material Girls or Eve Marie’s. Purchase outdoor gear or a top-notch clothes from Sacks in Hattiesburg for that handsome guy in your life. Or, if you have a little one in the family, visit Little Lane for children’s clothing in West Hattiesburg or Giggles at Newpointe Shopping Center. Hungry? Not for long! Hattiesburg has nearly 200 locally-owned restaurants that will satisfy your cravings for Thai, Indian, Cajun, Mediterranean, Mexican, Italian, American, and more! Visit Equinox Coffee for a caffeine boost after listening to your Great-Aunt Susan talk about her cats all day. Later that evening, blow off holiday steam, grab your friends, and go to Glory Bound Co. for a fun trivia night complete with delicious Mediterranean treats like hummus, pita bread, and gyros. Of course, remember to visit Cotton Blues for a delicious Southern meal with enough sitting space for the entire family—yes, even your cousins three times removed! The early bird gets the worm! Head to The District at Midtown and grab a dozen craft donuts from Midtown Donuts… guaranteed to keep the kiddos wired through presents. 


 

Museums, parks, theaters, and a zoo…Hattiesburg has it all! Grab those you’re thankful for this holiday season and enjoy all that make the Hub City a fun place to live! When planning a date night to escape the holiday bustle, we highly recommend catching a show at the historic Saenger Theater or viewing a live music performance at the Thirsty Hippo. For that ideal family outing, bundle the children in their winter coats, and visit the hundred different animal species at the Hattiesburg Zoo (PRO TIP: Check winter hours online before heading out). With events like ZooLights, you can even see the Zoo after dark and maybe meet a few animals up close!  Looking for a new tradition? Gather your family (or friends) and plan your perfect holiday escape plan at College Town Escape Rooms, just don’t forget to make a reservation first! In order to craft the perfect HBURG Holiday experience, however, be sure to stop by the Lewis Lights for their 30thyear of bringing joy, or head to Town Square Park for the annual Christmas tree lighting after the parade downtown.
